Steven Doyle

1 January 2009

Hi Linda, Hope you had a nice Christmas and that you have all you wish for in 2009. Thankyou for being a friend too. All the best, Steven Doyle

Shauna Mc Guinness.

30 December 2008

Hello Linda, just got your CD in mail from pay- pal today and was surprised to get a card and a personal signed photograph from your self, that was a lovely touch, we are having a new year party tomorrow in South Island New Zealand and will be dancing to the Galway Fiddler with our friends from Gort and Limerick and will shed a tear for the old sod at midnight, we will be home at Easter so will try to catch up with you and your band then. Have a good New Year, Shauna.

Sean Mc Greevy.

28 December 2008

Hello Linda, Katie and myself were on our way home yesterday after spending Christmas with friends in Limerick and decided to stay overnight in Ashford Castle Cong to do the "Quiet Man" tour. We were in for your show and really enjoyed you and your band. It was a brilliant packed night and we just got to speak with you for a minute at the end to buy your CD and get a quick photo, everyone wanted your time so much. Your album "A Story To Tell" is absolutely brilliant, the lyrics, melodies stories and tunes are from your heart and we have just ordered three more copies on your website (PayPal) as giftsfor friends from New York (Woodside, Queens) and West Palm Beach Florida who are spending the New Year with us. Can you try to get your management to mail them to reach us by Jan 10th please and if you can sign one to Declan and "Honey", one to John and Jessica Rose and one to Aoife. If you can send three signed photos as well that would be great. Thanks again for a great talent and we will watch your web site and hope to catch up with you on our next trip to the West probably for the Galway Races 2009.
Sean & Katie.

Dear Linda Welby, I am a 67 year old ex pat now living in sunny California for 40 years near silicon valley. I was born and raised in a place called Ballydavid near Loughrea in Co Galway Ireland. My daughter Mary bought your CD "A Story To Tell" while on vacation last month in Carmen (West Coast California) and it is a really cherised album in our condo, I really love Dear Dad,I hope my girls think of me like that, your accent really brings me home again, a beautiful mix of East /West Galway and Connemara dialect, Linda that is unique and will pass on with you forever. You mention on the sleeve notes your father Paddy Doorhry came from Loughrea I went to school with the Doorhrys there in the late 1950s in real hard times, can that be your folk one went on to travel with Joe Burke (the accordeion player) as a drummer and worked over here many times in the USA. I would sure love to hear from you real soon to catch up with the old real west. John.

3 July 2008

just returned from 15 "great days" in Eire retaing the anglo-irish golf trophy (only 2 of us play for it since 1988. It`s a "fun thing")and after I bid farewell to my friend Jimmy (he`s a Dub) went "walk-about" Eire and in county Clare I heard "gallway fiddler "SUPURB" and then down in Killarny (where I stayed for 5 days"heard it again on radio Kerry. I then tyied to buy it but no record shop had, with respect, heard of you. I rang radio Kerry (on a Sunday) but they could`nt help ,even tho` they`d broadcast it due, understandably to only having a skeleton staff. I then went to the tourist office who found you on the internet. After this I decided to wait til` I got home and try then even tho` I`d tried in a couple more shops. Please contact me as I would like to buy your music.
many thanks
